Laser removalWhat affects the result
We work with the PRIME PLUS PRO Nd:YAG Q-switched laser with two wavelengths: 1064 nm for black and blue inks and 532 nm for red. The laser breaks up the ink, and your body clears it. So the number of sessions depends not only on the device and the artist, but on the tattoo itself:
- Colour. Black and dark blue respond best. Red works well at 532 nm. Green, turquoise and yellow are the hardest.
- Density. Amateur tattoos usually go in 3–6 sessions, dense professional work in 6–10.
- Location. Closer to the heart, ink clears faster. On hands, ankles and feet it is slower.
- Age. Older tattoos have partly dispersed already and often fade faster.
Fading for a cover-up
If you plan a new tattoo over an old one, you don't have to remove everything. 2–4 sessions take out the dark outline and give your tattoo artist more freedom. We work with tattoo artists — feel free to bring your sketch.
